The Coding School was funded by USAID’s Employer-Led Workforce Development Program. Its third phase saw 464 new beneficiaries. This means that a total 1,500 women have completed the program. The project culminated with a job fair, which featured 26 international companies with 70 vacant positions. Participants had the chance to find their perfect match.
The project, which aims to close the gender divide in science and technology gives women valuable skills that will make them more competitive on the market. The initiative provides not only seminars to teach these skills, but also creates a network for women in STEM that can stimulate more opportunities.
