**New Rules for TV and Radio Broadcasters in Georgia**
The Georgian Parliament’s committee has agreed on new rules for TV and radio broadcasters. These changes will be voted on this week.
The new law, made by the ruling party “Georgian Dream”, aims to make broadcasting more honest and fair. It also wants to protect people’s private lives and children from bad influences.
If a broadcaster breaks these rules, they can get fined or have their license taken away. This will be decided by a special commission called the National Communications Commission.
The new law also covers things that broadcasters say online or on social media.
**No Penalties for Old Mistakes**
There’s an extra rule that says if a broadcaster makes a mistake before June 2025, they won’t get in trouble with the commission. This means they can continue to broadcast without getting fined or having their license taken away.
