**Ukraine Plans to Sanction Georgian Government**
On December 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine will take action against the government in Georgia. He believes they are working too closely with Russia and hurting their own people.
Zelenskyy was upset that the Georgian government is being praised by Moscow. He thinks this shows who they really work for: not the people of Georgia, but rather Russia. The Ukrainian president said Ukraine will prepare a legal response and work with its European partners to take concrete measures against Georgia.
**More Countries Take Action Against Georgia**
This isn’t the first time countries have taken action against Georgia. In recent days, Germany suspended development cooperation with them over democracy concerns and a U-turn on joining the EU. Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia also sanctioned officials in Georgia. Even the US has suspended its strategic partnership with the country.
