**Families Buried Together in Ukrainian War Cemetery**
A somber scene is unfolding at a cemetery in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. Three members of the same family – Adam Buhayov, 17 months old; his mother Sophiia Buhayova, 27; and her grandmother Tetiana Tarasevych, 68 – are buried together after being killed by a Russian attack.
**Last Moments Captured**
Adam’s last moments were recorded on video by Tetiana. The footage shows the happy family out for a walk just an hour before they were killed. Adam is seen wearing a red anorak and a woollen hat, with a Mickey Mouse sticker on it. His grandmother reminds him to keep his hat on, as it will get cold.
**Grief Stricken Family**
The loss of her family members has left Yuliia Tarasevych, Sophiia’s mother, heartbroken. She struggles to come to terms with the fact that she lost most of her family in one second. “I don’t know how to live,” she says, wiping away tears.
**Visiting the Graves**
Yuliia and her husband Serhiy regularly visit their loved ones’ graves. They find solace in the fact that they can see them every day. The cemetery is expanding rapidly, with more graves being added each day. Rows of blue and yellow flags mark the graves of fallen soldiers.
**Russia’s Invasion**
The family was killed during a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, which has been a regular target for Russian forces since the war began in 2022. The city is strategically important and near front-line fighting. Europe’s largest nuclear power plant is also located nearby.
**No Ceasefire**
Yuliia and Serhiy are adamant that Ukraine must fight on against Russia. They believe that giving in to Moscow would be a defeat for their country. “Russia is an aggressor, that came to our country, and destroyed our homes, and our families,” Yuliia says.
**Remembering the Fallen**
Yuliia wants the world to remember the names of her loved ones – Adam Buhayov, Sophiia Buhayova, and Tetiana Tarasevych. She hopes that people will not forget about the war happening in Ukraine, where civilians are also dying.
