Russian Attacks on Ukraine Kill Civilians and Damage Infrastructure
Over the past day, Russian strikes across Ukraine have killed at least three civilians and injured 18 others. The attacks include a child, regional authorities reported on April 2.
Ukrainian air defenses were able to shoot down 41 of the 74 Shahed-type strike drones and decoy drones launched overnight. Damage was reported in several regions, including Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Odesa.
The Air Force said that 20 decoy drones disappeared from radars without causing any damage. Russia launched 15 strike drones against the eastern city of Kharkiv, but no physical injuries were reported. Eight people, including three children, suffered from shock.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, four people were injured in Russian drone and artillery attacks. Eight houses, four outbuildings, and other civilian property were damaged. Two people were killed and three injured in Russian strikes in Donetsk Oblast.
Russian attacks also hit Kherson Oblast, killing one civilian and injuring nine others. Two high-rise buildings and 10 houses were damaged. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Russian attack killed a man and injured two other civilians.
