Transparency International Georgia assessed the funding of the eight most prominent parties for the 2024 parliamentary elections campaign and found that Georgian Dream had outspent them all.
Since the beginning of 2024, they have spent more than any other party combined.
Many GD donors have been accused of corruption, since they benefit from state-mandated subsidy programs and public procurement contracts.
Before the elections, political organizations received donations totaling 18,8 million GEL. 53% of GD’s total expenses were spent on advertising.
