The consultations between representatives of political parties and the President of Georgia are continuing.
Tina Bokuchava (leader of the “Unity–National Movement“) said before the meeting that the president is the sole independent institution of state in the country.
“The parties are in intensive consultations with President, who is the sole independent state institution while all other institutions have been captured. Dimitri Gvritishvili, who was the judge at the Court of Appeals where I am from, did not have the integrity, professionalism, or independence to support the dismissal motion. This confirms that the Judiciary and all other state agencies have been hijacked. The President is the sole independent institution. Therefore, as the only beacon for democracy in this nation, it is vital that we consult him intensively to plan a joint effort, including the coming weeks when we need to regain the European Future of our country”, stated Bokuchava.
