Ivanishvili is out of time! Tina Bokuchava announced this at a briefing held by the party’s office after the close of the polling station.
Tina Bokuchava hopes that, with the help of President Salome Zurabishvili, in the shortest time possible, a process around the “Georgian Charter“, will be created to form the new government.
“What we had predicted for many months, days and weeks has come true. Despite the ballot stuffing, violence and other irregularities, Europe and Georgians won! Today, no party won. The country’s European Future won. The opposition won. And “Georgian Dream”, Ivanishvili is done! The exit polls just published have shown this.
In historic elections, the Georgian people selected a coalition government. We take the trust that we have received from the people very seriously. We will begin negotiations with other opposition parties who have passed the electoral threshold in the shortest possible time to form a coalition government which will introduce our country into the European Union.
I would like to highlight the role of President. The “Georgian Charter”, signed by all opposition groups, is of great importance. In this regard, I am hopeful that, with the help of President Zurabishvili and the “Georgian Charter”, a process can be set up in the shortest time possible to recruit a government. Let’s return our country to the path of European Development. In the exit poll the opposition had a huge margin of 10%. This advantage will be even more pronounced in the final results of the elections, I am certain,” said Bokuchava.
