Court Hearing to Begin Today
Today, evidence will be presented in court that shows the Central Election Commission (CEC) made a mistake. The CEC replaced voting markers with new ones the day before the October 26 elections.
Tina Bokuchava, leader of “Unity – National Movement”, spoke about this to the media outside the city court. She said the review of three lawsuits demanding the election results be cancelled will start today.
The lawsuit argues that the CEC’s actions violated three important principles: secrecy, free will, and universality in all districts. The group claims that because of this, the entire election should be considered invalid.
Bokuchava also said that evidence will be presented to show that the CEC replaced voting markers with new ones without permission. This made it possible for people to know how others voted.
