Tite Aroshidze Elected Rector of Batumi University
Tite Aroshidze, a member of the Georgian Dream party, has been chosen as the new rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The university’s academic council voted in favor of him with a majority vote.
The voting process was secret, but the results are known. Tite Aroshidze received 10 votes from the council members, while one vote was invalid.
During the meeting, students held a protest in the corridors. They were concerned about their interests being represented at the university.

Tite Aroshidze was chosen from two candidates, including Archil Guchmanidze, chairperson of the “Flora and Fauna” association.
