Protests to Continue Across Georgia on 115th Day
Protests and demonstrations will be held across Georgia today, both in the capital Tbilisi and in several regions. This is the 115th day of ongoing protests that began on November 28, 2024.
In Tbilisi:
* A protest will take place in front of the Public Broadcaster at 19:00.
* A protest will be held in front of Parliament at 20:00.
* A march in support of the “Friend Act” will start from Marjanishvili Square at 20:00.
In the regions:
* In Gori, a rally will take place in front of the City Council at 17:00 to demand the release of political prisoners and new elections.
* In Akhaltsikhe, a protest will be held at the Shota Rustaveli monument at 18:00.
* In Batumi, a demonstration will take place in front of the Constitutional Court at 19:00 under the slogan “In Service of the Homeland!”
* In Zugdidi, a protest will be held in front of the Regional Administration at 18:00 under the slogan “Fight Until Victory!”
* In Telavi, a rally will take place in front of City Hall at 19:00.
* In Kutaisi, a protest will be held in front of City Hall at 19:00 with the slogan “Yes to Europe, No to Russia!”
* In Chkhorotsku, a rally will take place in front of City Hall at 20:00 under the slogan “Dare to Protest – Every Day!”
Protests began on November 28 after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that Georgia would not initiate EU accession negotiations until 2028 and reject all EU budgetary grants during that time.
