Protests Planned Across Georgia Today
People in several cities and towns across Georgia plan to take to the streets today to protest against the current government.
In Tbilisi, protests are scheduled for 19:00 at the Public Broadcaster, and 20:00 near the Bicycle Monument. Another protest is planned at the Parliament building at 20:00. A public lecture by the protest audience is also planned in front of the 1st Gymnasium at 21:00.
In Gori, a protest is scheduled for 17:00 in front of the City Council, with protesters calling for the release of prisoners and new elections. In Akhaltsikhe, protesters plan to gather at the statue of Shota Rustaveli at 18:00 to demonstrate against the Russian regime.
Batumi will see two protests today – a silent march at 17:00 in Central Park Colonnades, followed by a protest at the Constitutional Court at 19:00. Another silent march is planned for 17:00 in Batumi’s Central Park Colonnades.
In other regions, Zugdidi and Telavi will see continuous protests today, with protesters calling for change. Kutaisi plans to hold a protest in front of the City Hall at 19:00, while Chkhorotsku has planned a protest in front of their city hall at 20:00.
