Today, the Constitutional Court will receive the constitutional submission of a majority of deputies regarding the impeachment of Salome Zurabishvili.
The impeachment document is signed by at least 81 members of ruling team.
Today, the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules confirmed the validity and authenticity of the signatures of MPs.
Salome Zurabishvili is accused by “Georgian Dream”, of violating Article 52, subsection “a”, of the Constitution of Georgia. This article states that the President has representative powers in foreign affairs with the approval of government.
Salome Zurabishvili is being impeached by the majority of “Georgian Dream“. 100 deputies are needed to bring the process to a conclusion.
