**Parliament to Decide on Presidential Election Date**
The Parliament of Georgia will meet today to decide when the presidential election should take place. Shalva Papuashvili, a member of parliament, spoke about this yesterday.
Papuashvili said it’s very important that the election and inauguration happen this year. He explained why: “We need to elect a president for five years. For him or her to be elected for that long, we must hold the elections and inauguration this year.”
This decision is expected today in Parliament.
