Georgia is expanding its vaccination program.
“Persons working in the tourism, hospitality, and public transport sectors, as well as drivers and controllers of public transport, will be involved in this week’s vaccination process,” said Giorgi Gibradze at a briefing held in the government administration following the Interagency Coordination Council meeting.
He said that, “based on the decision of council, persons employed in tourism and hospitality, as well as drivers and controllers in public transport will be added to the existing priority groups,”
He also noted that the movement of intercity transport is not restricted during the holidays in Georgia, but only for the period of May 13 to May 14, and that this restriction does apply to municipal transport.
At present, all three vaccines are being administered in 91 facilities, with 137 brigades.
Today, May 4, the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm was introduced in Georgia.
