U.S. President Donald Trump has denied reports that his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, waited hours for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
According to Sky News, Witkoff had been waiting at least eight hours for Putin while the Russian leader was meeting Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. However, Trump claimed on Truth Social that there was no wait whatsoever.
The media reported that Witkoff paid a visit to Moscow on March 13 for talks on the 30-day ceasefire proposal accepted by Ukraine after a U.S.-Ukrainian meeting in Saudi Arabia.
Trump attacked the media that reported the story, calling them “sick degenerates” and saying their purpose is “to demean.”
