**US President Talks Territories and Power Plant Ownership in Saudi Arabia**
In a press briefing on March 24, US President Donald Trump said that talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, include discussions on territories, demarcation lines, and ownership of Ukraine’s power plant. These negotiations are between the US and Russian delegations.
The talks come as Ukrainian officials are expected to meet their American counterparts after US-Russia talks are finished. Trump mentioned that some people think the United States should own a power plant because it has the expertise. However, he did not specify which power plant was being discussed.
**Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Focus**
President Volodymyr Zelensky previously discussed with Trump the possibility of US assistance in restoring the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest nuclear facility in Europe. The plant is currently under Russian occupation and Ukraine has no access to the surrounding territory.
Trump had suggested that the US could be very helpful in running the plants due to its electricity and utility expertise. He also said that American ownership of those plants would be the best protection. While the station remains under Russian control, it does not generate electricity.
