Last week, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent visited Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine. He brought with him a draft of the agreement for Zelensky to review. However, Zelensky declined to sign it, saying that there were no security guarantees.

In a recent meeting, Trump blamed Ukraine for treating Bessent “rather rudely”. He claimed that Zelensky was sleeping and unavailable when Bessent arrived in Kyiv. However, these claims have not been confirmed by other sources.
**US Wants 50% of Ukraine’s Rare Earth Minerals**
The US is interested in getting 50% of Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. If there is a deal with Russia to end the war, the US may be willing to send troops to guard these resources.
