**Trump to Meet Putin Before February Ends**
US President Donald Trump has said he will probably meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin before the end of February. This was reported by CNN on February 19.
Since returning to the White House, Trump has talked about meeting with Putin to discuss how to stop Russia’s war in Ukraine quickly. He spoke with Putin on the phone for nearly 90 minutes on February 12 and then called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky soon after.
**No Meeting Date Set**
Trump previously said that his first meeting with Putin would be held in Saudi Arabia, where they would discuss ending Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. On February 18, a US delegation led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Russian officials in Saudi Arabia, marking the first direct talks between the two countries since the full-scale invasion began.
However, no concrete decisions were made after these talks, and Ukraine’s exclusion from the meeting has caused concern in Kyiv and Europe. Trump also previously said he would meet with Zelensky in Washington, but there are still no specific plans confirmed by the US or Ukraine.
