Pastor Visits Ukraine, Sees War Crimes
Pastor Mark Burns from the US visited cities in Ukraine that were freed from Russian forces. He saw the damage done by Russia‘s army and met with Ukrainian leaders.
Burns visited Bucha, Borodianka, and Irpin. These towns suffered greatly when Russia tried to take over Kyiv three years ago. Many people were hurt or killed during this time.
Burns said that even though some people don’t agree on politics, the war in Ukraine is real and people are dying. He also mentioned that Ukrainian soldiers are not asking for money but for more help to fight against Russian forces.
Ukraine’s top religious leaders told Burns about Russia’s plan to hurt their faith. Despite all this, Ukraine remains strong and welcoming to all faiths, said Burns.
Burns’ visit was organized by Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Azman. He invited Burns to come and see the damage done by Russia for himself.
