**Polish PM Tusk Proposes Plan to Strengthen Ukraine**
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has proposed a three-point plan to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s invasion. The plan includes:
* Financing aid for Ukraine from Russian frozen assets held in EU banks
* Strengthening air policing, the Baltic sentry, and EU borders with Russia
* Swiftly adopting new fiscal measures to fund security and defense
Tusk made these comments as European leaders re-examine their security strategies due to US President Donald Trump’s threats to stop supporting Europe‘s defense. The US has also been in talks with Russia about ending the war in Ukraine, but neither Ukraine nor Europe were represented at these talks.
**EU Takes Action Against Russia**
The EU has introduced a new sanctions package against Russia, targeting Russian aluminum and oil exports. This is the 16th such package since the invasion began. European leaders are calling for increased support for Ukraine and are rethinking their security strategies in response to Trump’s threats.
