Two Georgians Held Captive by Russia Near Dirbi Village
Two Georgian citizens were taken against their will by Russian forces near the village of Dirbi. This happened in an area controlled by Russia, according to a report from Georgia’s State Security Service on February 16.
The service said it quickly contacted European Union monitors and international partners for help. They also activated special procedures to free the Georgians as soon as possible.
The State Security Service blamed Russian forces for all harm caused in occupied areas of Georgia and along their border.
