**Russia Strikes Sumy Residential Area**
Last night, Nov. 22, Russia launched Shahed drones at a residential area in the city of Sumy, Ukraine. This attack resulted in two deaths and 12 injuries, according to local authorities.
Emergency responders were sent to the scene and rescue operations are still ongoing as of this morning. The Sumy Oblast Military Administration did not provide more details.
**Recent Attacks on Sumy**
This is not an isolated incident. Russia’s strikes against Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy Oblast have become increasingly severe in recent months. Many fear that Russia may launch another attack on Sumy Oblast soon.
Just a few days ago, on Nov. 18, Russian missile attacks killed 11 people and injured 89, including 11 children. A ballistic missile struck a residential building in Sumy during this incident.
**Residents Face Frequent Attacks**
Sumy Oblast is bordered by Russia’s Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod oblasts. The residents of these vulnerable border communities experience multiple attacks every day.
