Russian Forces Attack Nikopol, Killing Doctor and Civilian
Russian forces have attacked the city of Nikopol in Ukraine. They targeted a clinic with artillery, drones, and missiles.
The attack happened on November 11th. The clinic was destroyed, killing two people. One of those killed was a doctor who worked at the clinic. A woman’s identity is still being confirmed.
This attack highlights the harm caused to Ukraine’s healthcare system. Since Russia invaded in 2022, over 1,800 medical facilities have been damaged or destroyed.
In addition to the clinic, several other buildings were damaged or destroyed. These include two schools, a café, a bank, and several stores. Three apartment buildings and two cars were also hit.
Five people are currently being treated in hospital for injuries sustained during the attack.
