‘s artillery have caused widespread destruction in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The attacks have resulted in the deaths of two railway workers and injured five others.

The Ukrainian railways reported that a Russian artillery attack on their depot killed two workers and left three colleagues injured. The of the Prosecutor later confirmed the victims as a 58-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast head Serhii Lysak said that Russian forces targeted the district using artillery and kamikaze . He reported that five people, including three women and two men, were injured in the attack. The shelling also damaged residential buildings, vehicles, a transport enterprise, and an educational institution.

The attacks on Nikopol are part of a larger assault by Russia on Ukraine’s . Russian forces have targeted Ukraine’s power grid with 90 drones and 120 , causing power outages and civilian casualties.

This is not the first attack on Nikopol in recent days. Earlier, Russian forces had targeted a village in the Marhanets community, dropping from drones and firing artillery. However, no casualties were reported in these earlier attacks.
