**UK to Provide Ukraine with $2 Billion for Air Defense**
The UK has agreed to provide Ukraine with 1.6 billion pounds, or $2 billion, to purchase air defense missiles. The agreement was announced by Prime Minister Keir Starmer on March 2.
The deal will be done through export financing, and the missiles will be produced in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This will help protect critical infrastructure and strengthen Ukraine’s ability to secure peace.
**Ukraine’s Air Defense Needs**
Ukraine has been asking for more funding for air defense as Russia continues to attack Ukrainian cities with missiles and drones. The new agreement is a step towards helping Ukraine meet its air defense needs.
**European Leaders’ Summit**
The announcement was made during a press conference after a European leaders‘ summit in London. Prime Minister Starmer hosted President Volodymyr Zelensky and other leaders to discuss how to strengthen support for Ukraine and ensure a just and lasting peace.
**Coalition of the Willing**
