US Representative Joe Wilson is upset about the way Georgia‘s government is treating its people. He says they are being arrested and treated unfairly.
Wilson says that the government, led by Georgian Dream, is acting like a dictatorship. He wants the US State Department to punish those responsible for this treatment by imposing personal sanctions on them.
The sanctions should be against the mayor of Tbilisi, the Minister of the Interior, and other officials involved in the crackdown. Wilson also wants Europe to join in and take similar action.
Wilson is worried that if nothing is done now, things will get even worse in Georgia. He says Georgian Dream will continue to use violence and brutality against its people unless they are stopped.
