**UK Sends $2.6 Billion in Military Aid to Ukraine**
U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Kyiv on January 16 and announced a new military aid package worth $2.6 billion for Ukraine.
**100-Year Partnership Agreement Signed**
This is the second time Starmer has visited the Ukrainian capital, and he was accompanied by President Volodymyr Zelensky. They signed a 100-year partnership agreement to strengthen long-term cooperation between their countries.
**UK Military Aid Package Details**
The new aid package includes artillery barrels and a mobile air defense system. The U.K. has already provided $3.6 billion in military aid this year, with an additional $2.6 billion pledged. This will be financed by interest from frozen Russian assets.
**Artillery Barrels and Air Defense System to Be Sent**
The U.K. will send 150 artillery barrels produced by Sheffield Forgemasters to Ukraine. These are the first such barrels made in the U.K. in over two decades and will start arriving in a few weeks.
**Mobile Air Defense System to Boost Ukraine’s Capabilities**
Starmer also announced the delivery of a mobile air defense system developed with Denmark, which will help bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
