**UK Gives Ukraine £225 Million in Military Aid**
The UK has announced a new package of military support to help Ukraine defend itself. The package is worth £225 million, or around $286 million.
This aid will include various equipment and systems that will help Ukraine’s military fight more effectively. These include:
* Small boats and drones to gather information about enemy positions
* Radar systems and electronic warfare tools to detect and stop enemy aircraft
* Ground-based systems to confuse enemy forces and make it harder for them to hit Ukrainian targets
* Electronic warfare systems to protect against drone attacks
* Maintenance and spare parts for equipment already delivered to Ukraine
**UK and Ukraine Work Together**
The UK’s Defense Secretary, John Healey, recently visited Ukraine and discussed a plan with the Ukrainian Defense Minister to strengthen their military together. This new aid package is part of that agreement.
In addition to this military aid, the UK has also promised to provide expanded training programs for Ukrainian forces. These programs will help them learn how to use the equipment they receive from the UK more effectively.
