A UK trade delegation, including government and industry officials, visited Kyiv in order to discuss future equipment requirements and enhance collaboration between the defense industry and the UK.
According to a report released by the UK Ministry of Defense, on 6 October, the United Kingdom provided Ukraine with PS3.5billion (approximately $4.558billion) in funding to purchase British-made arms.
After signing a major agreement with Ukraine in July 2024, the PS3.5 billion in export financing was made available. This agreement allows Ukraine to leverage the capabilities and resources of UK industry in order to purchase additional military gear.
A UK trade delegation, consisting of representatives from the British Defense Ministry and Department for Business and Trade as well as the defense trade association ADS visited Kyiv recently to meet with Ukrainian government and industrial representatives. The delegation led by Luke Pollard, Minister of the Armed Forces participated in the Ukraine Defense Industrial Forum.
