**UK Provides $69 Million to Ukraine**
The United Kingdom is giving 55 million pounds (about $69 million) in new help to Ukraine. This aid will go towards social, humanitarian, and energy projects.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, said the funding will make Ukraine stronger and that it comes at a good time.
**UK Official Visits Ukraine**
British politician David Lammy is visiting Kyiv (the capital of Ukraine) to discuss how the UK can continue to help Ukraine. This visit happens as Ukraine prepares to enter its fourth year of conflict with Russia.
The new funding is part of a 100-year partnership between Ukraine and the UK that was agreed upon by their leaders in January.
**Helping Syria**
In addition to the aid for Ukraine, the UK will give 3 million pounds (about $3.7 million) to supply Ukrainian grain and food products to Syria. This help will be given through a program run by the World Food Programme.
The British government said this aid is different from Russian support for Syria because it does not come with conditions that can burden the country financially.
**Previous UK Aid**
This new funding is on top of 3 billion pounds (about $3.6 billion) in military aid the UK promised to Ukraine last year. The UK will also release a large loan to help Ukraine buy things it needs for its defense. This loan will be repaid using money from Russian assets that have been frozen.
