**UK Supports Ukraine in War Crimes Probe**

The UK has given $5.6 million to help Ukraine investigate and prosecute war crimes committed by Russian forces.

This funding will be used to document, investigate, and prosecute these crimes. The number of reported executions of prisoners of war (POWs) has increased dramatically, with 109 confirmed in alone.

The UK also pledged a new $282 million package to Ukraine’s defense efforts. This includes systems, , counter-drone technology, and munitions.

During his visit to Kyiv, John Healey said that the UK will continue to support Ukraine despite Russian nuclear threats. The UK has provided Ukraine with over 400 different types of weapons since 2022 and has committed to sending £3 billion in military aid every year.

**War Crimes **

The Ukrainian Rights Commissioner reported a significant increase in executions of POWs, with 177 confirmed deaths since the start of the invasion. This number is nearly double what was reported in previous years.
