Ukraine and NATO Agree on Joint Training Center
A meeting in Bydgoszcz, Poland has finalized a plan to create a joint military training center between Ukraine and NATO. The Joint Analysis Training and Education Center (JATEC) will be established by 2025.
This agreement is part of Ukraine’s efforts to join NATO as a protection against future Russian invasions. However, President Zelenskyy’s proposal for a NATO invitation has faced opposition from several member states, including the US and Germany.
The war in Ukraine continues, and an invitation to join NATO remains on hold until the conflict ends. Despite this, Ukraine is moving forward with plans for cooperation with NATO through JATEC.
