Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, announced on Twitter that Ukraine was suing Russia before the UN International Court of Justice.
“Ukraine submitted its application to the ICJ against Russia. Russia must be held responsible for manipulating genocide as a justification for aggression. We ask for an urgent decision ordering Russia’s military activity to cease immediately, and we expect that trials will begin next week,” Zelensky tweet.
