The Armed Forces of Ukraine are anticipating imminent Russian attacks against the Vremivka front and Hulyaipole, as Russian forces focus troops and ammunition on targeted assaults.
The Ukrainian Army anticipates that Russian forces are likely to launch an offensive against Ukrainian positions along certain sections on the front line. Vladyslav Voloshyn of the Southern Defense Forces, a spokesperson for the forces, said that the Vremivka Front and the area near Hulyaipole, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast are the most “dangerous”.
The Vremivka Front is located in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. It is in the eastern part. The front is located in a larger conflict zone, where Ukrainian forces are actively engaged with Russian troops. It is strategically important due to its proximity with other key locations such as Kurakhove or Vuhledar. The area has been the focal point of military operations and clashes on both sides.
“Accordingly to our intelligence, Russian troops are actively preparing assault operations on certain sections of the frontline. They have brought reinforcements and resupplied ammo, and are conducting aerial reconnaissance and engineering reconnaissances of our positions. This indicates that they are preparing to launch an assault. Some assault groups are already in forward positions. These actions indicate that the enemy is about to attack our positions. Voloshyn said that this offensive will be limited. “Assaults will start on a segment of the frontline.”
The Ukrainian spokesperson stated that the most dangerous areas are along the Vremivka-Rivnopil axis near the villages of Levadne, Rivnopil and Huliaipole, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
“In addition, there are information that indicates the enemy is also concentrating forces and resources on the coastal area of the left bank of Dnipro River – where Kamianske is situated – to prepare assault groups for future offensive operations,” Voloshyn said.
The highest level of activity by the occupying forces can be observed in the directions of Pokrovsk & Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast.
