North Korea Supplies Russia with Many Missiles and Shells
North Korea has given Russia over 100 short-range ballistic missiles. It also gave them more than 5 million artillery shells, says Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR). This is according to a report from November 29.
The HUR also said that North Korea started giving Moscow artillery systems last month. These systems include big-caliber guns and self-propelled artillery.
In total, over 100 pieces of equipment have been transferred, including special artillery systems and rocket launchers. North Korea continues to give Russia large-caliber artillery ammo and short-range ballistic missiles.
Ukraine’s military says that as of this month, more than 5 million artillery rounds and 100 artillery shells have been delivered. This is a big help for Russia in its war with Ukraine.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov visited North Korea on November 29. He arrived there after Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s visit to the country in June. That visit deepened military cooperation between the two countries.
North Korean soldiers have also joined Russia’s forces. They are fighting against Ukraine, especially in Kursk Oblast. In recent months, Ukraine has lost a lot of territory in this region due to Russian counterattacks.
NATO allies think that Putin wants to recapture this lost territory before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20. This will give Russia leverage in future peace talks.
