Anastasia Bobovnikova said that the contact line between the Russian troops and the towns of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast has been stabilised.
Bobovnikova, speaking on national television, refuted Russian claims about the two towns being captured by Moscow forces.
In recent months, Toretsk & Chasiv Yar has become one of the most popular spots in Donetsk Oblast as Russian troops continue to advance in Ukraine’s eastern region.
“At this moment, they don’t have an advantage in those towns.” Bobovnikova stated that the contact line has stabilized.
According to the spokesperson Russian troops haven’t crossed the Siverskyi Donets Donbas canal at Chasiv Yar but are moving in small groups to try to gain a foothold.
“The purpose of these actions is to collect as much as you can before the attack.” Our drones detect and target such attempts,” she said.
Since the Ukrainian forces retreated from the eastern Kanal neighborhood of Donetsk Oblast in July, the Siverskyi Donets – Donbas Canal has become the new frontline.
