While Russia tries to replenish its artillery in Kharkiv the Ukrainian defenders destroy military equipment and dozens of occupants, maintaining operational control despite heavy attacks.
The Russians have deployed additional artillery and are replenishing ammunition on the Kharkiv Front. According to the “Kharkiv”, operational-tactical unit, Ukrainian soldiers have destroyed 60 pieces enemy military equipment and killed 100 Russian occupiers in Kharkiv Oblast during the past day.
The Russian offensive began in Kharkiv Oblast on 10 May, opening a front in Ukraine. However, the offensive quickly stalled. In August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian soldiers were “gradually pushing” Russian troops out of this region.
“The operational situation at the Kharkiv Front has not changed significantly and remains complex.” Ukraine’s Defense Forces are continuing to resist the pressure from Russian occupation troops. The enemy is trying compensate for artillery loss by transferring more artillery units under operational command,” said the statement.
Four combat engagements took place in the past 24 hours near Starytsia and Hlyboke. Lyptsi and Vovchansk were also involved. The Russian occupiers conducted seven airstrikes using ten guided bombs. They also launched 72 kamikaze-drones and shelled Ukrainian defense positions 379 times.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces also eliminated 99 occupants, destroyed 60 units and military equipment as well as three ammunition depots.
Earlier, the commander “Stugna” of the HUR Special Forces, known as Linux revealed that Kyrylo Budaynov, Ukraine’s Head of Main Intelligence Directorate in the Defense Ministry, personally lead the mission to liberate Vovchansk Aggregate plant in Kharkiv Oblast.
HUR special units liberated the entire plant on 24 September, eliminating dozens elite Russian fighters, and capturing occupants. The facility is now in the hands of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. The preparation for the mission took several months.
