**Ukraine Denies Sending Untrained Air Defense Soldiers to Infantry Units**
The Ukrainian military command has denied reports that they are sending unprepared air defense soldiers to infantry units. The General Staff said this is “false” and “incorrect”.
According to a report by The Guardian, the Ukrainian military was transferring personnel from air defense units to fill gaps in infantry forces. But the Ukrainian General Staff said this is not true.
They explained that some Air Force personnel were reassigned according to their skills to help staff military units. However, this did not involve soldiers who protect Ukraine’s skies with special equipment.
**Prioritizing Frontline Defense**
The General Staff said the priority now is to hold the front line, and moving some rear-line soldiers into combat units is necessary to fulfill this task. They stressed that the Air Force is still performing its tasks effectively in defending against Russian kamikaze drones and other threats.
In fact, the number of intercepted Russian drones has not decreased, and the Air Defense system is still distinguishing between enemy targets and false alarms.
**Correcting Misinformation**
The Ukrainian General Staff said they are correcting misinformation that some air defense soldiers were being reassigned to infantry units. They emphasized that only support staff with non-specialized skills were moved to combat roles, not those operating high-tech equipment.
