Russia’s Ammunition Depot Hit in Ukraine Attack
There was no admission of damage from local authorities, despite video footage showing explosions at a Russian facility. The 67th GRAU Arsenal was targeted.
On November 19, Ukrainian defense forces hit a strategic ammunition depot in Bryansk Oblast. There were multiple explosions and a significant detonation. This is the first time Ukraine’s Armed Forces have used US-made ATACMS missiles to strike a target inside Russia.
Ukraine has been carrying out long-range drone attacks on Russian military targets and fuel facilities this year. These attacks have disrupted fuel and ammunition supplies for the Russian military. Many of these attacks have targeted bomb warehouses, ammunition depots, and fuel processing facilities deep within Russia.
The 67th GRAU Arsenal was hit by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. This facility contains strategic supplies of munitions. According to Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, the GRAU stands for the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
