Ukraine’s Military Success in Kursk Direction
The Ukrainian military has made significant gains against Russian forces in the Kursk region. According to a recent report, over 38,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or injured in the area.
Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the Kursk direction and honored soldiers with medals for their bravery. He praised their courage and strategic impact on the battlefield.
The Ukrainian military’s actions have forced the Russians to keep a large group of forces within their own territory. They have also been redeploying troops from other fronts to fight in Kursk.
According to Syrskyi, the enemy losses in Kursk exceed 38,000 personnel and over 1,000 units of equipment. He expressed his gratitude to the soldiers for their resilience and valor.
The visit also highlighted recent successes in exchanging prisoners of war. On December 30, 189 Ukrainians were released from captivity, thanks to operations in Kursk. The Ukrainian military has captured over 700 enemy combatants during engagements in the area, replenishing the exchange pool.
