Ukraine Launches Drone Line Project
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has announced a new military project called “Drone Line.” This initiative aims to use unmanned aerial systems (drones) in frontline operations. The project will help the country’s Ground Forces and State Border Guard Service by making combat more effective.
According to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, drones will play a big role in future wars. He said that using drones is now a standard part of modern warfare. This means that unmanned systems will be used to carry out complex missions.
The first phase of the project will involve five elite military units. These units have already shown they can use drones effectively and will now get more advanced drone capabilities. The units involved are:
* 20th Separate Regiment “K-2”
* 429th Regiment “Achilles”
* 427th Regiment “RAROH”
* 414th Brigade “Magyar’s Birds”
* “Phoenix” Regiment, which is part of the “Pomsta” Brigade
The goal of the Drone Line project is to create a zone on the battlefield where enemy forces can’t move without taking heavy losses. This will change how battles are fought and give Ukrainian warriors an advantage.
The project also aims to provide constant air support for infantry units and improve target detection and destruction. The Defense Ministry says this is possible thanks to the work of Ukraine’s defense industry in advancing drone technology.
President Volodymyr Zelensky is credited with starting the initiative, which is a big step forward for Ukraine’s military capabilities.
