In 2023, Ukraine received $42.5 billion in foreign aid. However, the says that this amount is not enough and needs to increase by at least $12 billion next year.

**IMF Comments**

The IMF’s Managing , Kristalina Georgieva, stated that Russia’s war with Ukraine has had a devastating impact on the country’s economy. She also praised Ukrainian authorities for their skillful policymaking in preserving macroeconomic stability and keeping the financial sector stable.
