**Ukraine Retrieves Bodies of 909 Fallen Soldiers**
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported that Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of 909 soldiers who died fighting against Russia’s invasion. These soldiers fought in several areas, including Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, and Bakhmut.
**Collaborative Effort**
The effort to retrieve the fallen soldiers was a collaborative one, involving government agencies like the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Interior Ministry, as well as the Armed Forces and other groups. The International Committee of the Red Cross also provided assistance.
**Dignified Burial**
According to the Geneva Conventions, people who lose their lives during war are entitled to a dignified burial. This effort by Ukraine’s government agencies aims to provide such respect for the fallen soldiers.
**War Toll Continues to Rise**
Since the start of Russia’s invasion in February 2022, over 46,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed on the battlefield. Nearly 380,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been injured. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that “ten of thousands” of Ukrainian troops are missing in action or being held in Russian captivity.
**Russia’s Losses**
As of March 28, Russia has lost 910,750 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
