Ukraine Rescues 179 People from Lebanon

Ukraine’ military intelligence (HUR) and Foreign worked together to evacuate 179 people from Lebanon on October 1st due to the increasing violence the Middle . This evacuation was prompted by Israel’s ground invasion of southern Lebanon, which was part of their campaign against the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah. Prior to the invasion, Israel had been carrying out intense aerial attacks on Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people. In response, launched a missile attack on an air base.

Following Israel’s ground invasion, the released a statement urging all parties to show restraint in order to prevent the conflict from escalating into a larger regional war. The successful evacuation of 179 people, including 134 , was later announced by Ukraine. Among the evacuees were 112 adults, 22 children, and 45 people of other nationalities, including citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Moldova, Brazil, and Lebanon. The evacuation even included a dog and a cat.

This was not the first evacuation carried out by Ukraine in response to the tensions in the region. Since early August, a total of 234 people have been evacuated from Lebanon. The Foreign Ministry expressed their gratitude to Poland and SkyUp their assistance in the operation.
