**Ukraine Imposes Sanctions on Georgian Government**
Ukraine has taken a stand against the government of neighboring country, Georgia. Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions on 19 individuals, including businessman Ivanishvili and his associates.
Zelenskyy says these people are selling out the interests of Georgia and its people. He is calling on Europe, America, and the rest of the world to take a similar action.
**Georgia’s Current Situation**
The Ukrainian President spoke about the current situation in Georgia in a video address. He said that the government is handling the country over to Russia, which is why there are ongoing protests in Georgia.
Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of standing together against Moscow. He stressed that this is not just about Ukraine or Georgia, but about the whole region and its people’s freedom.
**International Reaction**
The situation in Georgia has caused a critical reaction from the country’s Western partners. The Baltic states (Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia) have already imposed sanctions on Ivanishvili and several high-ranking officials. The United States suspended its strategic partnership with Georgia on November 30, and U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warned that further actions, including additional sanctions, are possible.
