**Ukraine Selects New Eurovision Representative**
A Ukrainian band called Ziferblat has been chosen to represent Ukraine at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. They won a competition on February 8 to get this chance.
Eurovision is a big music contest that happens every year. Last year, two other Ukrainians, Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil, came third in the contest. Ziferblat has three members: Daniil Leshchynskyi (vocalist), Valentyn Leshchynskyi (guitarist), and Fedir Hodakov (drummer).
The band will sing a song called “Bird of Pray” at the Eurovision Contest in Basel, Switzerland. They got nine points from judges and 10 points from viewer votes.
Ukraine has won three times in Eurovision before: in 2004 with Ruslana’s song “Wild Dances”, in 2016 with Jamala’s song “1944”, and in 2022 with Kalush Orchestra’s song “Stefania”. This year, Australia and many European countries will be participating.
Russia was kicked out of Eurovision after it invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The contest will take place from May 13-17.
