**Russia Continues Attacks on Ukraine**
Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine for two days, killing 2 people and injuring 6 others. The attacks took place in several regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Kharkiv.
**Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson Hit Hard**
In Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, Russian troops used heavy artillery and kamikaze drones to attack the rayon center and a community. On the morning of 18 December, two private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged, but no casualties were reported.
In Kherson, residential areas were targeted by Russian military strikes, damaging a multi-story building, six private houses, trade kiosks, outbuildings, garages, and private vehicles. One person was killed and three were injured in these attacks.
**Kharkiv Oblast Also Affected**
Russian forces conducted multiple attacks across different districts of Kharkiv oblast, damaging seven private houses and injuring a 76-year-old man. In the Kupiansk district, Russian attacks damaged a private house and injured two police officers.
**Ukrainian Air Defense Systems Engaged**
The Ukrainian military’s air defense systems were actively engaged in multiple oblasts overnight, including Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Sumy. The air forces downed 51 out of 81 Russian drones and lost another 30 in the area.
