**Georgian Protestors Show Solidarity with Ukraine**
On the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, people in Georgia took to the streets to show their support for the war-torn country. Demonstrators in Tbilisi and other smaller cities gathered to express solidarity with Ukraine.
The rally in Tbilisi was organized by civil organizations, including Protest24 and the Soviet Past Research Laboratory. The organizers emphasized that the outcome of the war would not only affect Europe but also Georgia’s security. They pointed out that Ukraine is fighting for its independence and protecting Georgia from potential threats.
**Demonstrators March Through Streets**
The rally started near the Ukrainian Embassy in Tbilisi, where participants honored both the Ukrainian fight for freedom and Georgian fighters who fell in the war. Carrying Ukrainian, Georgian, and EU flags, demonstrators marched to Rustaveli Avenue, displaying banners with slogans such as “Russia is a terrorist state” and “Glory to Ukraine.” This was not the first time solidarity marches were held in Tbilisi, as similar events took place in 2023 and 2024.
