**Ukraine Seeks Advanced Air Defense Systems**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the country’s defense minister to work with other countries on getting new air defense systems. This decision comes after Russia launched a new type of missile against Ukraine.
**Russia Attacks Dnipro**
On November 21, Russia fired an “Oreshnik” intermediate-range ballistic missile at the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine. This happened just days after Ukraine’s military successfully hit a target inside Russia using US-supplied missiles.
**Zelensky Reacts**
President Zelensky called Russia’s actions an international crime and criticized Moscow for escalating aggression despite calls for peace. He also said that Russia’s testing of experimental missiles is not safe and can harm people’s lives.
**Air Defense Systems Needed**
The President emphasized the need for new air defense systems that can protect Ukraine from these types of threats. The Minister of Defense will be meeting with partners to discuss how to get these systems.
